GentleMax Pro Laser Hair Removal in Dubai

GentleMax Pro is a laser hair-reduction treatment using the Candela GentleMax Pro platform and a 755 nm Alexandrite wavelength. It targets melanin in selected hair follicles while settings are adjusted according to the patient’s skin and hair profile.

The 755 nm Alexandrite wavelength has strong absorption by melanin. Compared with commonly used 800 or 810 nm diode wavelengths, it may deliver energy efficiently to selected pigmented follicles, including coarse hair and some finer residual hair. Response still depends on hair pigment, skin phototype, tanning history and treatment settings.

The handpiece is used point by point in a suspended or very light-contact manner rather than being repeatedly slid across the skin with conductive gel. This creates a cleaner, drier experience with less stickiness and friction and allows flexible treatment around different facial and body contours.

Laser treatment is generally described as long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal. Results vary according to hair colour, thickness, treatment area, growth cycle, hormonal factors and individual response.

Hair grows in different cycles, and laser treatment is most effective during the active anagen phase. A sequence of sessions may therefore be recommended so that more follicles can be treated as they enter the active phase.

The Dynamic Cooling Device releases a controlled burst of cooling gas immediately before each laser pulse. This helps cool the skin surface and manage treatment comfort.

Suitability must be assessed individually. Laser hair reduction relies on pigment within the follicle, so white, grey and very low-pigment hair may respond poorly or may not be suitable. Darker or recently tanned skin may require additional caution, adjusted parameters or postponement.

Patients may feel brief warmth, snapping or stinging sensations. Dynamic cooling is released immediately before each pulse to help carry heat away from the skin surface and manage discomfort, but sensation varies by treatment area and individual sensitivity.

Many patients return to normal daily activities quickly, although temporary redness, mild swelling, warmth or sensitivity may occur. Recovery varies by area, settings and skin response.

Shaving removes hair above the skin while keeping the root in place, allowing the laser to target pigment within the follicle. Patients are generally advised to shave around 24 to 48 hours before treatment and to avoid plucking, waxing or tweezing for approximately six weeks. Recent tanning, active inflammation, medication, recent procedures and relevant medical history should be discussed with the clinic.

Patients may be advised to avoid rubbing or scratching, hot water, sauna, steam rooms, intense exercise, direct sun exposure and irritating skincare for several days. Moisturising and sun protection may be recommended, and tight clothing should be avoided when it may create friction over a treated body area.

Temporary redness, swelling, warmth, itching or sensitivity may occur. Burns, pigment changes, folliculitis or other reactions are possible, particularly when skin condition, tanning history or treatment settings increase risk. Contact the clinic if symptoms are severe or persistent.
